Dr. Philip Solomon-Turay is a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience in the field of sport and performance psychology. Philip's extensive academic background includes a BSc, MSc, PGCE, AFHEA, and PhD, providing him with a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical application. 

His unique approach is built on the principles of positive psychology, a strengths-based approach, and PsychMapping. This combination allows him to help individuals tap into their existing strengths, cultivate resilience, and develop a deeper understanding of the external factors, emotions and psychological skills important to optimise their performance.

​​Philip is currently a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (candidate), and throughout his career, Philip has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of athletes and performers, from aspiring amateurs to elite professionals across various disciplines. His expertise has been applied to help athletes in sports such as football, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis and triathlons. ​

In addition to his practical work, Philip is a keen researcher and educator. His research delves into the intricacies of performance psychology, with a particular focus on self-talk and how this inner dialogue could be used to contribute to sporting success. He has also shared his findings and expertise at numerous international conferences, delivering presentations on topics ranging from psychological skills training to mental health in sport. Philip's passion for teaching is also evident in his experience as an educator, where he has taught and mentored students at various levels, helping to shape the next generation of sport and performance professionals.​
